'Waste not want not'.   I work with discarded materials such as carrier bags, tea bags, BT wire, basically any material I can access in large quantities as I like working in multiples. By changing the purpose and identity of a material its perceived value is increased.  It demonstrates that these everyday materials should be seen as a valuable resource. I believe that re-using materials as opposed to manufacturing them again; is the best form of recycling as it has the least impact on the environment.
